Co-founder

Xavier Fargetton is co-founder of Arcanatura SAS. He brings over 22 years experience of product development and commercialization in animal health in Europe and in the USA. After receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the National Veterinary School in Lyon, France in 1980, Xavier was awarded his PhD in pharmacology from the University of Lyon, France in 1985.
 
 

After receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the National Veterinary School in Lyon, France in 1980, Xavier was awarded his PhD in pharmacology from the University of Lyon, France in 1985.

Following subsequent post-doctorate studies in endocrinology, pharmacokinetics, clinical pharmacology and statistics, Xavier worked with some of the largest animal health and pharmaceutical companies in the world directing the development and launch of major animal health products.

Xavier was subsequently appointed CEO of a start-up company (GALVmed) in Edinburgh, Scotland which specialized in the development of livestock vaccines and pharmaceuticals for farmers in developing countries, which led to his particular areas of interest at Arcanatura including the sustainable use of natural resources, the study of the impact of consumer product use on the environment and the promotion of fair trade practices between different communities in Latin America and Europe and the USA.
