Resolution-3 Shampoo

What are pet Allergies?

If your dog is itching, scratching, licking or biting his or her skin regularly, he or she probably suffers from allergy or atopic dermatitis. Allergy is a reaction by sensitized dogs to foreign proteins called allergens. The animals can be sensitized by contact, inhalation or ingestion. The allergens come from four major categories: food, fleas, other animals and the environment. Arcanatura Resolution-3® solution is based on the current scientific and veterinary understanding of canine allergies.

Allergic dermatitis is an inflammatory disease resulting from the interactions between genetic and environmental factors

  • Very common, it affects 10-15 % of US dogs
  • Very damaging to the dogs quality of life

Ingredients in our breakthrough natural shampoo

Yucca Extract

A nonionic surfactant rich in saponin. The plant grows in the Western United States and was once used as hair treatment by native americans.

The major constituents of the aerial part of nettle are flavonoids (quercetin, rutin), phenolic acids (caffeic acid), sterols, ceramids, glycoproteins and terpenoids. Extracts of U.dioica have significant impact on inflammatory mediators by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase-dependent biosynthesis of prostaglandins and leukotriene B4. Extracts also inhibited the release of cytokines such as IL-10, IL-2, INF-γ, and TNF-a. Finally, U.dioica extracts significantly suppressed interleukin IL-1b induced expression of matrix metalloproteinases. Furthermore U.dioca extracts has antioxidant and analgesic effects (control pain). In human clinical studies, U. dioica extracts were used as a treatment for allergic rhinitis and osteoarthritis.

Calendula officinalis
An annual herb cultivated around the world used topically for many years to help heal wounds and soothe inflamed and damaged skin. The potentially active chemical constituents are triterpenoid saponins, triterpene alcohols, flavonoids, phenolic acids and carotenoids. The amount of active constituents vary with the plant’s maturity and the time of harvesting. We exercised special care to collect the plants at the optimal time. Extracts from Calendula reduce inflammation by inhibiting lipoxygenase. Extracts of Calendula also prevent production of pro-inflammatory cytokines Il-1 and TNF-a and they have antioxidant properties.

Hyptis Capitata

A small shrub growing in the tropical climate of central America. The major constituents of the aerial parts of the plant are triterpenoids and polyphenols such as rosmarinic acid. Rosmarinic acid demonstrated anti- inflammatory activity by inhibition of cyclooxygenase activity. It also has an anti-histamine activity by preventing mast cell degranulation.

How to properly use Resolution-3 Shampoo

We recommend you bathe your dog every day for three days to start the treatment, then twice a week during the allergy season or as needed. A dog with itchy skin must be treated very carefully, so we would like to offer the following advice:

  • Use a mild shampoo with anti-inflammatory and anti-itch properties.
  • Cool water temperature: use lukewarm water, not hot water as it might increase skin irritation and make matter worse.
  • Gentle cleansing: do not scrub vigorously to avoid further irritation; use a massage type motion to apply the shampoo.
  • Allow the natural shampoo to remain 10 minutes on the skin to allow the skin to absorb the beneficial elements and to help the skin retain moisture.
  • Rinse any completely from the skin and the coat: shampoo residue is a major cause of skin irritation in dogs.
  • Pat dry: After bathing, pat dry with a towel. Do not rub, do not blow dry, the heat can further dry the skin and increase the irritation.
  • Brush your dog daily to remove pollens, grass and other irritants and to prevent matting. Grooming is also a great way for you to bond with your dog.

Clinically-Proven Results

Step 1: Wash your dog with Resolution-3® 100% Natural Shampoo
Washing your dog regularly with a natural soothing shampoo will provide relief from itching and scratching and is a great place to start easing their discomfort and enhancing their quality of life. Indeed frequent bathing might be the most important part of the treatment of your itching dog.

Your dog will improve considerably with frequent use of this shampoo and we have the data to prove it:

In a test conducted by Arcanatura, 37 privately owned dogs with severe itching and scratching were treated either with a regular physiological natural shampoo or with a therapeutic shampoo containing plant extracts with anti-inflammatory and anti-histamine activities. Dogs were treated daily for 3 days and then twice a week until day 21.

They were clinically examined by an independent veterinarian on day 1, 3, and 21 and a clinical score from 0 to 16 was attributed to each dog based on the severity of itching, redness of the skin and the presence of hot spots. No other treatments were administered.
